Kibale National Park is East Africa's premier chimpanzee and primate rainforest destination, where mature forest, swampy patches, edge habitats, and research-backed habituated groups make it one of the best places in the world to watch wild chimpanzees on foot. It is strongest for travelers who want a serious primate-and-forest-wildlife experience with excellent natural-history value, while accepting that dense habitat, trekking conditions, and Uganda's broader travel-risk picture make it less straightforward than a classic safari park.
