Central Kalahari Game Reserve is one of Africa's great remote desert-wilderness safari destinations, where grass pans, fossil valleys, open Kalahari plains, and a vast feeling of emptiness create a very different wildlife experience from Botswana's wetland north. It is strongest for travelers who want true remoteness, big skies, desert-adapted predators and antelope, and the feeling of being deep in wild country rather than in a comfortable mainstream safari circuit.
