Bako National Park is Sarawak's oldest national park and packs an unusual variety of coastal ecosystems into a compact peninsula of sandstone cliffs, mangroves, heath forest, and secluded beaches. It is one of the easiest places in Malaysian Borneo to look for proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs, bearded pigs, and photogenic shoreline scenery on short trails and boat-linked coves.
